Season 2026/27 Ready
There's not a huge amount of data available on the website to help you with Gameweek 1 — mostly just stats from previous seasons. We find the following pages the most useful at this early stage.
- Last and previous season's player Gameweek scores on their info page.
- Player -> Gameweek History you can view the points a player scored against the opposition from that Gameweek in previous seasons.
- Player -> Season History shows the overall points for a player from previous seasons.
- Team -> FDR Fixtures the invaluable fixture grid, now with a rebuilt difficulty engine (see below).
- Team -> xG History shows a team's xG ratings from previous seasons.
- Gameweek Planner -> Link your FPL account and start planning your team for Gameweek 1 and beyond.
- Scout -> Keep track of players you like the look of as you go through each team or hear about on the news.
New this season — the FDR Matrix has had a big overhaul. Rather than one difficulty number per fixture, difficulty is now split into an attacking rating and a defensive rating, so a defender and a forward from the same team can face very different fixtures in the same match — the fixture colours follow the player's role. It's built on a team strength index that rates every side relative to the league, with two views: opponent difficulty on its own, and projected output that also factors in your own team's strength.
Also new — a Position Analysis page. It flags players who are effectively playing a different role from their FPL position — a midfielder pushed up like a forward ("Playing higher"), a forward dropping deep, a defender getting forward, and so on — along with a trend signal for whether that role is settled, rising or dropping. It's a quick way to spot value the position label hides, and traps it disguises.
A note on the early weeks. The new fixture ratings and the clean sheet predictions are built from this season's form, so for Gameweek 1 they lean on last season's numbers as a starting point. Expect them to be a little rough to begin with — they sharpen up noticeably after the first handful of games, once real results replace the previous-season estimates. The same applies to the attack/defence difficulty split and the form-based signals on Position Analysis: give them a few gameweeks and they'll be telling you far more.
Good luck for the season ahead.
